APPLY NOW TO RECEIVE UP TO £20,000 FROM POSTCODE LOCAL TRUST!

Postcode Local Trust, a grant giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, is delighted to announce that applications are now open for local charities and community groups alike to apply for a share of a £1 million funding pot raised by players. Applications will remain open until the 15 August 2018, with groups being able to apply for awards from £500 up to £20,000 to support a whole host of projects aimed at improving biodiversity and enhancing outdoor spaces.

Projects funded previously through the trust include sensory community gardens, conservation education workshops to encourage children to engage with nature, as well as initiatives aimed at reducing plastic consumption within communities through the installation of water bottle refilling stations. This is an excellent chance for organisations or projects with a ‘green theme’ to benefit from a funding boost.

Laura Chow, Head of Charities at People’s Postcode Lottery, said: “Green spaces and the natural environment play a pivotal role in our society and it’s now more important than ever to make sure that we’re doing all we can to protect and preserve these spaces, as well as inspiring the next generation to get involved. I would encourage as many groups as possible to get applying and take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.”

For any groups seeking funding that falls outside of this category, players of People’s Postcode Lottery also support two other trusts which are also currently accepting applications: People’s Postcode Trust and Postcode Community Trust.

A minimum of 32% from every People’s Postcode Lottery ticket goes directly to good causes. To date, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £320 million for more than 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

To apply for funding, please make sure you have followed our funding guide before submitting.
